Update: The Pasadena, Hollywood and Sylmar Juvenile courthouses will all reopen on Friday according to a notice issued by the Los Angeles County Superior Court on Thursday evening.
All other courthouses will also be open for business Friday, according to the court.
"The Court will continue to balance the needs of Los Angeles County residents to access justice with the ever-evolving impact of the ongoing wildfires affecting the region," according to the release.
It comes after the court advised Thursday morning that the Pasadena Courthouse would be closed for the remainder of Thursday due to its proximity to the Eaton Fire and "adverse environmental conditions" in the area.
"Most matters scheduled for Thursday, January 9, at the Pasadena Courthouse will be continued with notice provided by the Court or counsel," the court posted in an advisory issued at 10:30 a.m.
It added that "imperative criminal matters will be transferred to and heard on January 9 at the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center, located at 210 West Temple Street, Los Angeles, with notice from counsel."
The court had advised on Wednesday night that the Hollywood Courthouse would be closed on Thursday due to being located within the mandatory evacuation zone for the Sunset Fire.
The Sylmar Juvenile Courthouse, which was closed around lunchtime Wednesday, would remain closed Thursday due to being in close proximity to the Hurst Fire.
An advisory notice issued by the court stated "most matters scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 9, at the Hollywood Courthouse will be continued with notice provided by counsel. Writs hearings with a statutory deadline will be handled remotely."
The court advised that "all matters scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 9, at the Sylmar Juvenile Courthouse will be transferred to the East Los Angeles Courthouse, located at 4848 E. Civic Center Way with counsel providing notice."
