The Mediation Center of Los Angeles (MCLA) hosted a dinner Thursday night at Porter Valley Country Club, honoring the retirement of founder Myer J. Sankary of Advance Mediation Services. Enrique Koenig of Koenig Mediation LLC received the Patron Award for his services assisting families in Mexico and the U.S. since 2012.
The event - planned to become annual -- brought together members of the legal community, with former Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Samantha P. Jessner and MCLA Executive Director Bennett W. Root Jr. of Lets Settle Now each delivering a keynote address. Many judges were in attendance, reflecting MCLA's vital role in the court's mediation referral program.
