Former Latham partner launches litigation boutique
Brian T. Glennon said Glennon Law APC would focus on efficiency and flexibility. With a national network of top litigators, the firm aims to provide high-level representation at competitive rates while embracing a modern, remote-work structure.

After more than two decades as a partner at Latham & Watkins LLP, Brian T. Glennon has struck out on his own, launching Glennon Law APC, a West Los Angeles-based litigation boutique.
Emphasizing efficiency, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness, Glennon said his firm will operate with a lean structure, leveraging a network of experienced litigators working remotely. He said he sees the move as a fresh challenge and an opportunity to redefine how high-stakes litigation is handled outside the traditional law firm model.
"This is a whole different animal. I'm learning so much every day. It has been very interesting and a lot of fun -- granted, a little stressful at times -- but overall, it's been a wonderful experience. I'm really glad that I decided to make this move when I did," Glennon said in an interview.
Key to the boutique's approach will be building a national network of expert litigators curated for each matter, he said.
"I learned a lot over my almost 25 years at a large firm about firm operations and management, and I took those lessons and applied them to Glennon Law in a manner that I thought would make the firm more efficient, more competitive, and very cost effective" he explained.
Glennon said he has been able to draw top talent, many of them from marquee law firms, to work on a contract basis because they are looking for that flexibility and work-life balance.
"This model keeps firm overhead very low, which in turn, gives us a lot of flexibility with respect to rates. And of course, being a litigation boutique, we do not have to worry about conflicts nearly as much as we would if the firm had a corporate or finance department," he said.
At Latham, Glennon represented public companies, accounting firms, and executives in complex commercial litigation, including securities fraud, shareholder derivative suits, accounting liability defense, and SEC enforcement actions. But he said the structure of the new firm will allow him to handle a wide variety of matters. "We were made to handle virtually anything that comes our way, on either the plaintiff's or defendant's side," he said.
"I don't think I've been this excited to be a lawyer for a long time," Glennon said.
