LA federal courthouse closed due to power outage

All but one proceeding was cancelled and that one was moved to another courthouse.

Hearings and trials were cancelled Thursday at the U.S. District Courthouse in downtown Los Angeles due to a power outage, according to marshals at the door, who said no one could enter.

Proceedings were cancelled in all departments except for that of U.S. District Judge Dolly Gee, where an illegal gambling trial involving former Dodger Yasiel Puig continued into its third day. Those proceedings were moved Thursday to the Edward R. Roybal Courthouse, which is also downtown.

This is a breaking news story, check back for updates.
