Hearings and trials will continue to be suspended through Friday at the U.S. District Courthouse in downtown Los Angeles due to a power outage, according to the court clerk.
Clerk of Court Brian D. Karth said Thursday that repair crews would be working through the weekend to resolve the issue, citing estimates by the U.S. General Services Administration.
Proceedings were cancelled Thursday in all departments except for that of U.S. District Judge Dolly Gee, where an illegal gambling trial involving former Dodger Yasiel Puig continued into its third day. Those proceedings were moved Thursday to the Edward R. Roybal Courthouse, which is also downtown.
