Christopher J. Margolin is no stranger to science or in-house legal work. He's worked for nearly 35 years as an in-house lawyer, and has spent about 20 of those years at drugmaker XOMA Ltd., where he's now general counsel.
The Berkeley-based company of roughly 240 employees has gone through a number of changes in the past year, notably the departure of its chief executive officer, Steven Engle, who was XOMA's CEO for 4 years.
