Two years ago, James Cowie took over as senior vice president and general counsel at Cadence Design Systems. The San Jose-based company makes software and hardware to help its major technology clients design semiconductors, consumer electronics, and networking equipment.
Cowie joined Cadence 10 years ago after working as an in-house counsel at National Data Corp. in Atlanta and, before that, serving as an associate at Troutman Sanders in Atlanta.
