SAN JOSE - Michael Tyler, who previously worked at Gateway Inc., was hired in 2007 by Sanmina-SCI, an electronics manufacturer that makes circuit boards for companies in the communications and defense industries, as its first general counsel.
Tyler, 54, supervises the legal work of a company with operations all over the world, and favors local counsel who have expertise in the countries in which Sanminia-SCI operates.
