SAN FRANCISCO - Six years ago, Michael W. Fox needed a job. His latest venture, a startup e-procurement company, wasn't taking off, and he wanted to get back into a corporate legal department. He walked across the street from his Potrero Hill office to the headquarters of Jamba Juice Co. and told then-CEO Paul Clayton he should hire him as its first in-house lawyer.
