Kate Rundle has been on a whirlwind ride since joining optical components maker Bookham Inc. in November 2007. The company merged with Avanex Corp. last year to form San Jose-based Oclaro Inc. and has since gone on an acquisition binge, adding optical networking companies Xtellus Inc. in December and Mintera Corp. in July. Oclaro also completed a complex asset swap with Newport Corp., a global supplier of lasers, photonics instrumentation and optical components, in June 2009.
