Nicholas Mack made his move in-house in 2000, in the midst of the dot-com boom.
Trained as a litigator, Mack had done stints at Boughey, Garvie & Bushner, Coudert Brothers LLP and Heller Ehrman White & McAuliffe LLP. But he was quickly learning how to be a transactional lawyer at Sun Microsystems Inc.
He was also brushing up on environmental law.
