Ushio America Inc. general counsel Ako S. Williams studied journalism and dreamed of a future in television broadcasting.
“I was born and raised in Japan and then came to the U.S. by myself when I was 18 to attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to study journalism,” Williams said. “I originally wanted to go into the news media to take advantage of my English-Japanese bilingual skills.”
