SAN DIEGO - Superior Court Judge Alana Robinson took the bench with a thorough knowledge of the rules of evidence after 30 years as a federal prosecutor and finds that is key to successfully presiding over trials.

"My role in this is to determine what the facts are and apply it to the law so if you could help me by just focusing on the facts, tell me the facts that you think support your position," she tells litigants.
