When Judge Benjamin D. Galloway was about 10, his father took him to watch arguments at the U.S. Supreme Court.

It was a sabbatical year for Santa Clara University School of Law professor Russell W. Galloway Jr. He brought the family to Washington, D.C. with an ambitious goal.
