For 15 years, Los Angeles County Judge Stephen P. Pfahler presided over an independent calendar at the Chatsworth Courthouse in the San Fernando Valley. In January, Pfahler embraced a new challenge, returning to the Stanley Mosk Courthouse in downtown Los Angeles where he practiced as a lawyer for many years.
