Judge A. Marisa Chun presides over a criminal courtroom like no other in the Hall of Justice.

The courthouse's Department 29 has an unusual history. It was once a clerk's office, noticeable for its entirely metal doors, while other courtrooms have wooden doors. And it has wheelchair ramps, installed after the Americans with Disabilities Act became law in 1990.
