LOS ANGELES - Mark Hanasono was shy growing up. He never thought of himself as a talker nor expected to become a trial lawyer. "Most people would not believe that I was uncomfortable speaking up in court," he said.
It could be hard to believe because, as an alternate public defender, Hanasono won multiple awards for the number of felony and homicide trials he completed.
