LOS ANGELES - With four felonies already on his record, Dewone Smith was not an upstanding citizen when he went to trial in Judge José Sandoval's downtown courtroom.
Smith also wasn't interested in facing six more strikes he'd been charged with he wouldn't budge out of his holding cell behind the courtroom.
