RANCHO CUCAMONGA - After graduating from Michigan State University with a degree in criminal justice, Janet M. Frangie- a native of Detroit - decided it was time to escape the cold weather of the state she had always called home and applied to law schools in California.

After being accepted to Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, Frangie and her husband packed their things and headed for the West Coast.
