SAN DIEGO - When Ronald L. Styn arrived at Stanford Law School in 1962, it didn't take long for him to feel like a fish out of water.
"I didn't like it at all," said Styn, 71, now a Superior Court judge in San Diego. "I was ready to quit. There were all these guys walking around from Ivy League schools. Preppies in their suits and ties. I was wearing shorts and T-shirts."
