LOS ANGELES - Judge Rand S. Rubin has spent the past 12 years in department 112 in the Clara Foltz Criminal Justice Building presiding over a felony calendar. He's handled some of the most serious cases to come through the Los Angeles County Superior Court system, including the recent and highly publicized trial of David Viens, a man found guilty last month of murdering his wife and then cooking her body.
