SACRAMENTO - U.S. Magistrate Judge Allison Claire was drawn to the law in an unusual setting, as the host of a talk radio show in Santa Cruz.

In the 1980s, Claire produced, engineered and hosted a show, "Making Waves," that addressed economic and social justice issues.
