COMPTON - Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Sean D. Coen's whole career has been a family affair.

Both when he became a deputy district attorney after graduating law school and when he was elected to the bench in 2012, Coen was following the same career path as his father, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Ronald S. Coen.
