LOS ANGELES - No one seems to know for sure how the building that houses the Los Angeles County Mental Health Court came to be called the Pickle Factory. Maybe it was because the H.J. Heinz Co. made relish there in the 1950s, or it could be because the Sheriff's Department housed drunks there in the 1960s.
