HAYWARD - As a new deputy district attorney, Christopher D. Cavagnaro recalled, he wanted to make sure to establish a crime took place in his jurisdiction. So during a preliminary proceeding, he spelled out exactly where the crime happened in Hayward, he said. But perhaps he did so a little too emphatically.
Superior Court Judge Gary M. Picetti took the opportunity to razz the new attorney.
