SAN JOSE - Superior Court Judge Patrick E. Tondreau's position on the bench seemed unlikely in 1965. He planned to become a priest and enrolled in seminary academy in Los Gatos right after high school.
A year into his studies, Tondreau realized the priesthood wasn't for him. "I knew I'd want a family some day," said Tondreau, who now has three children.
