BAKERSFIELD - Steve Katz never pictured Kern County as the dream setting for his first post-law school job. He certainly never expected to make Bakersfield home.
"But so many good things happened to me here," said Katz, now a Superior Court judge.
He met his future wife, became the on-air voice of the district attorney's office and served as president of the county bar association.
