LOS ANGELES - In December, Judge Lavin walked into the Stanley Mosk courthouse, but instead of heading to his chambers, he went to the jury assembly room and waited for his name to be called.
It was the first time he had received a jury summons since he took the bench.
"It's such a good reminder for a judge to go through the process," Lavin said.
