COMPTON - At the end of a long court day, with a thousand thoughts racing through her mind, Judge Rose Hom heads for her t'ai chi ch'uan class.
Hom's goal as a devoted practitioner of the Chinese martial art is to clear her mind and create balance in her life.
"It helps me focus on what's really important," she said.
