SAN DIEGO - Beginning a two-year term as presiding judge of the San Diego County Superior Court, David J. Danielsen is sometimes asked if anyone in his right mind would willingly assume the job, given the current state of the judiciary in California.
"I'd have to say, candidly, no," he said, seated in his chambers in downtown San Diego. "So I'm your guy."
