CHULA VISTA - In the midst of a trial or motion hearing, needing a quick supporting
citation, deputy public defenders in San Diego County used to call the answer man,
Matthew Braner, known for his ability to name and summarize a case for any issue.
"I used to be able to get the actual page number," Braner said, with a whimsical smile.
