SANTA ANA - An appellate attorney who argued a case last year for which 4th District Court of Appeal Justice David A. Thompson later wrote the opinion said he doesn't remember Thompson.

An attorney in a different case said he had expected a justice other than Thompson would write the opinion because Thompson hadn't said much during oral argument.
