LOS ANGELES - Superior Court Judge Laura F. Priver has a message for prospective jurors: Please, no tweeting.
In early 2012, Norman Chad, a longtime television personality and nationally syndicated columnist for ESPN, was serving on a jury in a robbery case presided over by Priver. Despite Priver's specific admonitions to the contrary, Chad decided to turn the experience into fodder for his Twitter feed.
