GLENDALE - The courtroom doors are opening and closing, lawyers are whispering to
clients, the interpreter is talking, bailiffs are changing shifts and confiscating
mobile phones, the courthouse cooling system is on the blink and Judge Sherilyn Garnett
is working her way through an 80-case misdemeanor calendar.
