VAN NUYS - Two years after injuries forced him from professional football, and after a few false starts in other lines of work, Michael Kellogg had finally found a foothold in a new career: Torrance Unified School District had hired him to teach criminal law and criminal procedure for the 1972 school year. One problem: Kellogg had no legal background.
