SAN JOSE - Judge Vanessa A. Zecher grew up with the law. Her parents were both attorneys, and the young Zecher would occasionally talk to her father about his work.
"He would let me help him and explain to me why he was doing what he was doing," she said. "I may have not understood it all, but it was fascinating to me."
