
SAN DIEGO -- When Judge John S. Meyer needs to mull over a problem, whether it's a complicated legal issue or the San Diego Padres' batting order, he goes for a run.
"For me, it started when I was a lawyer, and if I had a problem, or something I needed to work out, just going out for a run cleared my head and allowed me to put things in perspective," he said.
