SAN DIEGO — Superior Court Judge Lorna A. Alksne oversaw criminal preliminary hearings this spring, while also handling domestic violence and parole revocation matters.

In prior months, she sat in family court and took on a civil calendar. Alksne, San Diego County’s assistant presiding judge, said she will be in juvenile court in the coming week and oversee a two-week murder trial in June.
