Prior to joining Santa Clara University School of Law in 1988, Professor Kreitzberg was a trial attorney for the Public Defender Service in Washington, D.C., while also representing death row inmates on a pro bono basis. She was also the Director of the Bryan R. Shechmeister Death Penalty College, an intensive training program for defense attorneys who represent persons charged in capital cases.
