CARLSBAD — Myra Chack Fleischer always knew she’d become a lawyer, it simply took longer than expected.

After working for a decade as an accountant, the Philadelphia native enrolled at Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 1993, when her firstborn son was 10 months old.

“I had my second son on a Saturday and I was back in class 46 hours later,” she said. “He came with me to school.”
