Urban redevelopment: Ding, dong the witch is dead

If you stop and think about it, there isn't all that much to say about the state Supreme Court's endorsement of legislation abolishing redevelopment agencies in California, except maybe to ask rhetorically what took them so long? (Since the Legislature created redevelopment agencies, it was within its power to abolish them. Cal. Redev. Assn. v. Matosantos, S194861. So what's the fuss all about?)
