Nazi-Era Slave Laborers Seek Redress
Si Frumkin was 14 years old when he was forced to work as a slave laborer at a Nazi concentration camp during World War II. Alongside his father, he lifted 50-pound blocks of concrete, seven days a week, for almost a year to help a German contractor build an underground aircraft hangar in Poland. His father died 20 days before the camp was liberated by Allied forces.
