Memoirs, love letters, diaries, recipes, novels, government secrets, all California Court of Appeal opinions - these items call to mind the timeless question: to publish or not to publish? Many today would say, " Publish," but I approach the question with the vacillation of Hamlet. Publishing has its downside.
