Senate breaks impasse on judicial nominees
Senate leaders reached an agreement Wednesday on stalled judicial nominees, apparently paving the way for Los Angeles federal court and the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals candidates to win confirmation.

WASHINGTON - Senate leaders reached an agreement Wednesday on more than a dozen stalled judicial nominees, apparently paving the way for Los Angeles federal court and 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals candidates to win confirmation.
The Senate is scheduled to vote today on white-collar defense attorney Michael W. Fitzgerald's nomination for the bench in California's Central District.
