John Crane, 81 Cal.App.4th 847 (2000), is not significant so much for its holding, since it is limited to asbestos cases involving multiple defendants, but for its analysis, which provides cogent reasoning for Proposition 51 apportionment and protection to strict product liability defendants within the chain of distribution.
