Courage Award Goes to First Latina Recipient

State Sen. Hilda L. Solis, D-El Monte, an unopposed candidate for a congressional seat, got a prestige push for her environmental justice campaign Monday at a reception honoring her as the first woman and the first Latina recipient of the John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award.
