Defense expert says cause of plaintiff’s illness is unknown

Defense attorneys wrapped up their case Friday with testimony from an oncologist who explained that the cause of plaintiff Dewayne Johnson’s specific type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma remains unknown.

SAN FRANCISCO -- Defense attorneys wrapped up their case Friday with testimony from an oncologist who explained that the cause of plaintiff Dewayne Johnson's specific type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma remains unknown.

Timothy Kuzel also disputed the plaintiff's representation of when he first developed cancer symptoms, questioning Johnson's assertion that his work spraying glyphosate-based herbicides starting in 2012 caused his cancer.
