A fresh, new biography of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr. (1841-1935) gives good reason to visit the life of this celebrated jurist whose legal scholarship and judicial career bridged two centuries of developing American law. While there are many books and articles about Holmes, this well-written one is worth reading.
