Tax worries over PG&E power shutoff lawsuits? You bet.

The power shutoffs, and whether those might be actionable, makes me think about taxes. Despite the protection of the bankruptcy court, could more lawsuits loom?

The blowback from PG&E's recent "Public Safety Power Shutoffs" may have died down a bit, but it has hardly gone away. After PG&E cut power to vast numbers of businesses and consumers in what was evidently the biggest deliberate blackout ever, the bankrupt utility is drawing even more criticism. "I'm getting a generator or converting to solar" has become a popular refrain.

So have thoughts about lawsuits, despite the bankrupt...
