Telephonic hearings in civil cases: A solution to closure





By order of the presiding judge of Los Angeles County Superior Court, all hearings in civil cases have been suspended except for ex parte applications. Thus, for all practical intents and purposes, civil litigants are being denied access to our state courts. Is this lawful?
